New Processes
The St Paul’s Team is motivated and excited by the new website and building this resource as an informative communication tool for families. As with all new initiatives, change can bring questions and possibly teething problems. Please make contact with our front office if you  require support for any tech issues or access issues with our new newsletter and website. We will continue to build on the website to be a quality resource and communication tool for our school community.

The importance of EMPATHY in learning
One of our goals this year is to create and embed our learner profile into all aspects of learning at St Paul’s. Increasing empathy in our students is one of the driving forces for us a learning team. Empathy is the ability to emotionally understand what other people feel, seeing things from their point of view, and imagining yourself in their place. Essentially, it is putting yourself in someone else's position and feeling what they must be feeling. The power of high levels of empathy is the use of perspective and adapting one’s behaviour accordingly.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

We are creating leaders at St Paul’s. Sinek captures the power of leading with empathy and how it creates a relational approach to working together. Sinek says a true leader has the courage to take risks, even if they fail. Empathy is the first criteria for being a good leader. ... Empathy—the ability to recognize and share other people's feelings—is the most important instrument in a leader's toolbox. Well worth a watch.

Parent Voice
Thank you to the families who were able to make the first Parent Feedback Group in Week 6. We will be holding another session on Tuesday 29 March at 2:45pm in Week 9. We will meet in the office.

Yours in Christian Service,

Brad Moss

A MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY

PRINCIPAL

Week 7 already! I don’t know about you, but the days seem to be sliding by very fast!

Thank you to those parents who came for our first Parent Feedback session in Week 6. The next session will be on Tuesday 29th March, Week 9 at 2:45pm. We will hold it in the mainly music room (the old K/1 classroom). We look forward to sharing ideas with you and listening to feedback.

Wellbeing with Lucy
Lucy Hamblin has settled in beautifully to our community and students have been enjoying exploring many things alongside her. Starting this week, Lucy will have a specific intention for the week. This week it will be discussing and exploring the importance of presence - of knowing God is always there with us. What is present to me is what has a hold on my becoming. I reflect on the Presence of God always there in love, amidst the many things that have a hold on me. I pause and pray that I may let God affect my becoming in this precise moment.

Working Bee
This Friday, 18th March, starting at 2:30pm. Many hands make light work! It's been so long since we've had a working bee. We're proud of our school and we hope you are too. This is a great way to help serve our community... We hope to see you there!

Facebook
Word of Mouth really is the best way to advertise. When we’re passionate about something, we can really sell what we believe in. If you see a post on our Facebook site, please share it. Together, we can get the word out there about our wonderful school.
Kinder 2023 If you have a child due to start Kinder in 2023 or know of other families who do, I encourage you to make contact with us. We are starting to make plans for what next year might look like and we'd love to build on our 10 Kinder enrolments from this year!

Conferences
We are holding our conferences in Week 9 - Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th March. This year, we are going for a team approach. Students, parents, teachers and learning coaches will be present for the session and it is a time for students to share their learning goals, their achievements, what they're proud, etc. We really want it to be a positive experience for students and reflect on the positives and how we as a team can work together to get the best outcomes for your child. IEPs will be shared for those students during this time. Alison Jafari, Learning Enhancement Specialist from St John's, will also be present for some of the sessions requiring extra time for IEP discussions.

Cross Country
We've decided to travel to St John's and join together for the Cross Country. We will be hiring a bus for students and staff to travel there and back, however, parents are welcome to attend and join us at St John's in Jindera on the day. This will be held Tuesday, 5th April and the first race (Kinders) will start at 10:30am. More information will come home about this event. We hope it will be a positive way to increase connections between the two schools.

Blessings,
Hollie Kinning

Easter 2022

We have a selfie stick in our classroom! Students can clip this camera to their work when they are feeling proud of their achievement. This is then emailed to parents at the end of the day. It’s a great way for students to recognise when they feel good about what they’ve achieved and also a great way to show parents what students have been up to in class. The photos represent a small snapshot of the some of those proud moments.

YEAR K/1/2

Hello families, We are learning so much about Asia in PBL! 3-6 have done an enormous amount of research and are about to begin creating their model of a significant landmark. Some landmarks include the Taj Mahal, Mount Fuji, and the bamboo forest in Japan. We cannot wait to show you our creations!

Last week 3-6 had an amazing opportunity to participate in an AFL training day at school. We were taught AFL skills including kicking and handballing. (Picture below)If you ever have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me at
