It was great to have our parents and board members together at the Term 4 Parent Information Session on Tuesday night last week. It was a time to celebrate the successes of 2022 and showcase our plans for 2023. One of the exciting developments is the class structure as we return to three classes next year. We welcome Christine Biar to the team and look forward to her meeting our students and staff as she joins our final Kindergarten transition day on Wednesday in Week 8.

I will also be leading a Kindergarten Information Session at 9:30am on Wednesday 30 December. I encourage all Kindergarten families to join in the session.

An Exciting 2023

HAPPENINGS WITH HOLLIE

What a wonderful morning we had on Tuesday being led in worship by our Year 6 students and to say thank you to all those who have given of their time this year. Gratitude was the main message of the Chapel service and is defined as ‘the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.’ We are truly blessed with a supportive community of parents, grandparents, past families, extended family members… the list goes on!

I’m often asked how I’m enjoying being at St Paul’s and my response is always the same. I’m humbled by parents being willing to put their hands up to help in any way and I have seen this on so many occasions throughout 2022. St Paul’s is a positive and encouraging place to be and I am grateful to all our Parent and Family helpers who have put their hand up on one or multiple occasions. Here’s a few: sporting carnivals, PBL helpers, Tuckshop, mainly music, HMFDs, reading in class, camp/excursion helpers and bus drivers, working bees, baking… again, blown away with your help and support.

A special thank you to our amazing P&F. To the executive of this group - Kerri, Andrew, Megan & Kym – Thank you for all you have done this year. Your love and passion for St Paul’s is evident and you really are a blessing to our community.

The end of a year is always an exciting time and for some, it can be quite daunting. Our Year 6 students are nearing the end of their primary school days with us and we wish them God’s blessings as they finish this phase and prepare for the next adventure. We would like to invite all families to our End of Year Graduation & Awards Service.

It is an expectation for all students to be present and we ask students to please wear full school uniform on the night. I am looking forward to celebrating what has been a terrific year of learning, growth and connection and of course to officially farewell our graduating students: Milly, Phoenix and Aaron.

Blessings,

Hollie

YEAR K/1/2

What a fun day we had on Wednesday! First was a visit to the Henty Library where we learnt all about composting with Compost Fairy Sarah and Mrs Kane. We then made a fun Christmas craft before it was time to head off to the Post Office to post our letters, followed by a quick stop at the IGA for a special treat and then to the Henty Fire Station! If your student slept well on Wednesday I think we know why - what an adventure!

A huge thank you to the Henty Library for hosting us, and to Captain Phil and Monty Willis for a fun filled and educational visit to the Fire Station. As you can see by the huge smiles we had a blazing good time (without the actual fire)!

Blessings,

Hollie

YEAR 3/4/5/6

Last week, we held our Leadership elections for 2023. Year 5 spoke to the school on what leadership means to them and how they would embody this in a leadership role. They all did an amazing job and should be very proud!

We are thrilled to announce that the 2023 School Captain for next year is Aiden Cunningham and Vice-Captain is Oscar Haines.

The Mundawadra Sport Captain is Micah Klemke and the Buckargingah Sport Captain is John.

Many blessings,

Katie Ridley

RAS TENNIS

We were blessed with a nice Spring day for RAS Tennis Trials held at Scots School in Albury. Four students, Zoe, Aiden, Beau and Micah, represented St Paul's. All put in a great effort and a solid display of sportsmanship throughout the day and we were proud to have them wear the St Paul's uniform.

A massive congratulations to Zoe Lieschke on her selection to play at CIS in Sydney next year!!

Well done Zoe!

FUN FRIDAYS

We're Back!!

This is a wonderful opportunity to join with other school groups, as well as the wider community, to celebrate what is a wonderful event on the Christian calendar.
